SACRAMENTO PHILHARMONIC & OPERA ANNOUNCES NEW FALL DATES FOR POSTPONED CONCERTS

For Immediate Release

April 10, 2020

Dear Friend:

With all of us homebound, it’s nice to have something to look forward to!

The Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera has finalized the new dates for the final three concerts postponed this season…

  • Saint-Saens’ Organ Symphony will now be performed October 2 & 3, 2020, again at Fremont Presbyterian Church with the same artists.
  • Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville” will now be performed Saturday, November 28, 2020 (Thanksgiving weekend!), still “in the round” on the main floor of Memorial Auditorium with the same artists.
  • And the finale of your season – the return concert to the SAFE Credit Union PAC (previously the CCT) will be on Saturday, January 16, 2021 (postponed in this case due to construction delays) and feature romantic classics, including Ravel’s “Bolero.”

“How can I help the SPO in during this time?”

Well, first of all – STAY HOME!   Yes, music is essential, so listen to CD’s, iTunes, whatever your playback of choice.   Right now, your health is our first concern.

We want to say “thank you” to those of you who have called and written kind words of support.   Rest assured that your SPO will be back in the fall.  Until then, for information or questions about your tickets please email info@sacphilopera.org or call us at 916.476.5975  Like you, we are all based at home, but checking messages and e-mails regularly.   If you have to leave a message, we will call back soon!

Over the past five years, you have helped to build something remarkable here in Sacramento.   The next chapter will begin in 2021 with the return to the renovated SAFE Credit Union PAC.

But first, we can’t wait to see each of you in October.   Stay safe and healthy!
