Opening Night! The Marriage of Figaro

About:

Regarded as one of the greatest operas ever written, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro is a comedy with disguises, surprises, and compromises. In this satire about nobility and power, Count Almaviva is determined to woo Susanna, who is engaged to Figaro—a servant in the household. The betrothed will do whatever it takes to navigate the Count’s advances, and the Countess—fed up with her husband’s infidelities—joins in the chaos, too. Known for its wit and charm, The Marriage of Figaro has earned its place as one of the most frequently performed operas ever, offering a warm welcome to newcomers to the opera scene and a cherished escape for long-time enthusiasts.

The 2024-25 season is available on subscription only at this time. Single tickets will go on sale in August.

The Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera 2024-2025 Season and Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Ari Pelto, for the 2024-2025 season, are generously underwritten by the Nancy and Hank Fisher Family Fund.
