Fourth on the Field!

Sacramento certainly knows how to celebrate the 4th of July! See the skies light up at Sutter Health Park with your Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera. Stuart Chafetz leads the Philharmonic & Opera musicians in family friendly music that everyone can enjoy. Enjoy food and beverages from a mid-summer classic inspired menu, and end the night with a fireworks display in sync with the performance. Where else can you watch fireworks choreographed with a live orchestra? Nowhere!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be vaccinated or wear a mask to attend the event?

For large outdoor events, the State strongly recommends that all guests be fully vaccinated, obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending events, or wear a face covering. Attendees who do not self attest vaccination status should wear face coverings. Fully vaccinated guests are not required to wear a mask to attend Fourth on the Field Remix. Unvaccinated guests, including children over the age of 2, should still wear a mask. Please be aware of the risk of attending large crowded events where the vaccine status of others in attendance may be
unknown, or others may not currently be eligible for vaccination, or may be immunocompromised and whose vaccine protection may be incomplete.

Is there a bag search before I enter the gates?

Yes, all guests entering Sutter Health Park will pass through our metal detectors, as well as go through a bag check. To avoid touching attendees’ personal items, Sutter Health Park is enforcing a small clear bag policy and ask guests to open their own bags for inspection.  See below for a visual on which clear bags will be permitted. No fireworks, explosives, or firearms are permitted inside the ballpark. 

How much does it cost to park?

Parking is $12 per car. You may pay upon entering the Sutter Health Park Lots. Free bike valet is also available.

Can I bring my own chair, food/drinks, or a stroller into the ballpark?

No chairs are permitted inside the ballpark. If you purchased a field ticket, blankets are allowed and recommended! Our VIP ticket holders will receive a blanket with their reserved space. No food or drinks are permitted inside the ballpark with the exception of SEALED water bottles. Guests are permitted to bring strollers into the ballpark, however, strollers ARE NOT permitted on the field, if you purchased a field ticket.
